Before classes begin in August, Class of 2019 medical students are encouraged to register for library barcodes to gain access to the Health Sciences Library’s collections. An HSL barcode provides access to the library resources when off-campus or on the public wireless network. Registering early can help speed along the transition to medical school, and allows new students to familiarize themselves with the resources available to them.
Below are links to instructions for registering, the library’s access policy and library tutorials.
Don’t hesitate to contact the library with any questions – the Access Services department can assist with any barcode or registration questions at 914-594-4200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also view our Ask NYMC Library page to find answers to commonly asked questions about the library and our services. If you cannot find an answer to your question, you can submit it through the form on the page. Reference Librarians are available to assist with searching, website navigation and resources and research. You can request a consultation with a librarian for more in-depth search assistance.
Remember to keep in touch with what’s new at the library, by subscribing to our blog. We regularly post information about resources, product trials and HSL events. You can also follow us on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Welcome to New York Medical College! We look forward to working with you!
