Beginning this week, library staff is available in the library in the new Skyline Building. Please stop in to talk about the library space or about any library services to the NYMC community and the occupants of the new building.
The shelving in the space is intended to house the collections previously kept in various departmental libraries. The library has received several of these collections and will begin to catalog them shortly. These materials will be available to check out. Additionally there are two seating areas in the facility: a main area with tables and chairs for individual or group work or study and a quieter room with windows and comfortable club seating and couches.
Library staff will be in the library from 11-3, with Access Services and Educational Media staff working the 11-1 shift and USER Services/Reference staff working the 1-3 shift. Diana Cunningham, the Director of the Library, will be in the library Friday afternoons. This is a good time to meet with your librarian liaison when they are in the building. There is a consultation room on the premises which is ideal for meetings and one-on-one instructional sessions.
