The Constitution Day Quiz closed at noon today and we drew for a winner from those who got either 12 or 13 answers correct. As a result, we are happy to announce that Samuel Dresner, a first-year medical student, who got all 13 answers correct, is the winner of the prize basket. He came by this afternoon to claim his prize.
As a recipient of federal funding, New York Medical College is required to conduct activities to celebrate Constitution Day, a federal observance which is celebrated on September 17. We enjoyed this contest and learned a few things from it. We had 101 responses to the quiz and 24 of our respondents got either 12/13 or 13/13 answers correct and were entered into a drawing. We accepted 12/13 because one of the questions was ambiguous. Conducting this quiz allowed us to try some new software; we used the SlickQuiz plug-in on our WordPress blog to conduct the quiz and web-based “Random Picker” (randompicker.com) to conduct the drawing — no need for a hat!
Congratulations once again to Samuel! And thanks to all who participated.
