Wall Street Journal Subscription Courtesy of The Sidney E. Frank Foundation

The Sidney E. Frank Foundation, in cooperation with the Health Sciences Library (HSL), is pleased to announce the availability of the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) to all students and faculty members of New York Medical College (NYMC).

Under the guidance of Joseph T. English, MD, Sidney E. Frank Distinguished Professor at NYMC, students participate in various activities, fellowships, roundtable discussions, and month-long electives in health policy and related subjects. Students in the program present relevant topics for discussion and debate. Over the last 17 years, 529 students have participated.

This year students indicated that access to the Wall Street Journal would have been appreciated. After conversations with Dr. English, the HSL negotiated access which will be funded for the next two years by Sidney E. Frank. The Foundation has been impressed with the student medical journal, The Roundtable Journal on Health Policy, published by the Sidney E. Frank students and wants to support the efforts and interests of the students.

Dr. English is extremely grateful to Marie Ascher, Lillian Hetrick Huber Endowed Director of the Health Sciences Library, for the enthusiasm and energy she put into obtaining this subscription and hopes that the subscription generates high usage by both students and faculty and that it may become a permanent resource available to the NYMC community.
