27th Annual NYMC Faculty Author Celebration
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the 27th Annual New York Medical College Faculty Author Celebration on December 17th! Coming together with you for this virtual celebration of research and scholarship was a wonderful way to close 2020.
Thank you for your interest and engagement in supporting research in clinical medicine, basic sciences and public health here at New York Medical College. This year’s ceremony featured influential, award-winning papers in cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, cystic fibrosis, fluid therapy, and traumatic stress, as well as honoring research collectively in neurosurgery, public health, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
We are so happy that despite the special challenges of the year, we were able to maintain a Health Sciences Library tradition and deliver the full author recognition ceremony and awards for the 27th year running. The event this year was virtual, and while this was a different than usual circumstance to announce the winners (kosher wine and cheese was BYOB this year), we are proud to have encapsulated the important work of NYMC authors in video format, now archived in our institutional repository.
The recording of the event is also available on Youtube here.
Thank you to all of our award-winning authors and New York Medical College leadership for your gracious contribution and thoughtful comments. We would especially like to thank Edward C. Halperin, M.D., M.A., Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer, for his support, Nina Kurzban, M.L.S., who compiles and edits the New York Medical College Faculty Authors’ Bibliography, and NYMC’s exemplary Educational Media team who have worked so diligently to bring all of NYMC’s gatherings, symposiums, courses, and events to us safely at home this year.
We are currently compiling next year’s bibliography. Please submit your faculty publication here to ensure inclusion. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!
