Passes for Free Weekend Admission to Stone Barns Center Available in Library

The Health Sciences Library has received weekend passes to visit the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture. We are grateful to the Stone Barns library program which provides these passes to our community. Each pass provides one-day admission for up to 2 adults and 4 youth (or 1 vehicle). The first weekend of the season is April 1, 2017.

The Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a non-profit organization committed to a healthy and sustainable food system. They achieve their mission through education and outreach. The center includes a farm that uses resilient, regenerative farming practices and there are educational programs that you can attend.

It is definitely a worthy weekend outing.

To reserve weekend day passes, call no earlier than the preceding Wednesday at noon. After that time, you can either choose to reserve the Saturday or Sunday pass. Any person can only reserve the passes one time per season, however they can be available on the day of visit (or Friday after 12 noon for Saturday visits) on a first come first served basis if not reserved — even for repeat users. To reserve, please call the Access Services line at 914-594-4200. You then can pick up the passes on Thursday or Friday (or Sunday morning). All passes need to be returned to the library by Monday at noon.
