The Health Sciences Library would like to remind our patrons about a newer database called Films on Demand – Health and Medicine Collection. You can find the link to Films on Demand under our Databases page.
This collection of web-based, streaming videos currently holds 2,841 titles ranging from a Medical Mysteries documentary on Conjoined Twins to a piece on Food Safety: From Market to Plate. Videos range from short, two-minute segments to videos up to two hours long. You can search for videos by topic, production company and most viewed. Each video contains a transcript, links to related videos and can be embedded into course management systems and syllabi.
In honor of National Safety Month, brush up on some first aid basics with a video on Basic First Aid or watch this documentary on the dangers of prescription drug abuse.
