The HSL is pleased to offer Ebrary, an ebook database that has excellent content and a pleasing, easy to use interface.
The Ebrary homepage is organized by subject, and although it has strong collections in Business & Economics, Education, Fine Arts, and other subjects, NYMC students and faculty will probably be most interested in the Life Sciences, Medicine, Physical Sciences, Psychology, and Social Sciences subjects (there are thousands of ebooks for each of these!).
Ebrary offers all the features you want in an ebook database – you can create a bookshelf, highlight important passages, and export citations to RefWorks or EndNote. This database has it all, and since it only takes 60 seconds to sign up, you can be conducting important research with Ebrary in no time.
Also, Ebrary is set up to display exactly how the print version looks (that is, all ebooks display as a PDF), which gives it an attractive and easily readable format:
