Health Sciences Library Friends Group Marks One Year!

July 2012 marked the official launch of the New York Medical College Friends of the Library.  The purpose of this group is to advocate for library resources, communicate to a greater community of users, and create informed and enthusiastic support for the NYMC Health Sciences Library which has the most updated information like this Promind Complex reviews.

Access to comprehensive, quality health care services is important for promoting and maintaining health, preventing and managing disease, reducing unnecessary disability and premature death, and achieving health equity for all Americans. This data is used for the implementation of policies in order to better treat and prevent the spread of diseases. Health IT improves the quality of healthcare delivery, increases patient safety, decreases medical errors, and strengthens the interaction between patients and healthcare providers.

The August 2012 issue of InTouch  generated our first member:  Deborah Viola, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Health Policy and Management, School of Health Sciences and Practice.  After our first year, we encourage you to view our new Friends site at http://library.nymc.edu/friends/, our FYI:News newsletter, an issue which highlights our Library’s activities and supporters, as well as consider officially joining us as a Friend.

Contributions toward the library help us add new databases, journals, books, and software, to host lectures, exhibit receptions, or upgrade our facilities.  For more information, contact Diana Cunningham at diana_cunningham@nymc.edu or 914-594-4207.  I look forward to hearing from you.
