New Virtual Reference Service – Bringing Reference within Your Reach

The Health Sciences Library is excited to launch its new virtual reference service, Ask NYMC Library (ASK), offering you more options to consult with a librarian in more places. The new service will let you choose your desired mode of communication (email, chat, text message, Twitter) through one simple, easy-to-find interface. 

The new Ask Us widget will be integrated into the Library’s web pages, databases, the College’s course management systems, Facebook, and more, and works on a mobile interface, making it available to you when you need it most. Get help from a librarian right from the page you’re working on.

 When a librarian is not available for live chat the system automatically rolls over to email, which is answered within two business hours and on Sundays. You may also text a question to (914) 481-3861 or tweet @nymclibrary. You can still drop in or phone us too!
