The Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library is pleased to announce users have access to a new database resource: Scopus!
Scopus is a multidisciplinary database with over 97 million records of peer-reviewed journal literature, trade journals, books, patents, and conference abstracts.
You can access Scopus via our Quick Links tab or Databases list:
When brought to the login screen, use the same credentials you use for other library resources.
When searching for documents, users can select the fields they want to search by using the “Search within” drop-down menu. Multiple search fields can be added and combined for more complex searching.
The Authors search allows you to find documents written by the same author. This can be done either by author name or ORCID number.
A feature that separates Scopus from other databases is the ability to explore article citation information. Results are listed with the number of citations an article has received next to each title. This allows for users to explore the impact, relevance, and network of particular areas of literature.
Scopus offers Capozzi Library users a wealth of information to enhance their research and educational efforts. Check out the tutorial videos for general information on how to use Scopus. Meet with a librarian to explore how Scopus can help you with your research project.
