The 30th Annual New York Medical College Faculty Author Celebration & Awards Summary

There is nothing like meeting in person! On November 29th the Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library was delighted to celebrate New York Medical College’s 2022 publications with faculty authors and NYMC leadership. This was the first year since the pandemic that we returned to a fully in-person social event over wine and hors d’oeurves.

Thank you so much to Chancellor Dr. Edward Halperin, Vice President for Research Dr. Salomon Amar, Dean of the School of Medicine Dr. Neil Schluger, Dean of the School of Biomedical Sciences Dr. Marina Holz, and Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice Dr. Robert Amler and your teams for your kind words, and for your dedicated support of the library and of New York Medical College’s hardworking researchers. Your leadership makes the published work represented at this event possible and inspired.

We are so grateful as well to everyone in Educational Media including Michael Cotter and Juan Castro who have never let us down and whose skill, expertise and patience keep every event at New York Medical College running seamlessly.

Congratulations to all of the 396 authors at New York Medical College, who have published 812 peer-reviewed works in 2022 including articles, conference abstracts, and edited and authored books! The complete 2022 Touro University Publications books are now available online or complimentary in print.

For the awards portion of the celebration, the library collected data from Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports, and PlumX (via Touro Scholar). These proprietary, curated resources are available through Capozzi Library for authors to peruse at any time. For more information or clarification on the awards or on bibliometrics, contact Capozzi Library’s Scholarly Communication & Content Librarian, or use Ask a Librarian to be in touch with us.

Thank you for gathering with us!
